Hi fellow enthusiast!  I'm Ernie Louison, a native of Sheffield, MA, and Berkshire County resident until 1995. That's when I met my late wife, Ruth.
Once I found out she loved hot rods, drag racing, and baseball, I knew I wanted to be with her and moved to Brooklyn, NY. (Among other reasons, of course)
After 5 years of learner's permits, we got married at the Adirondack Nationals Car Show in Lake George, NY September 8, 2000. We bought our 1941 Dodge coupe in 1998 after seeing it advertised in Hemmings Motor News. Being prepared to travel a few hundred miles to buy the right car...it turned out that the Dodge was 5 blocks away from us, in a garage in Brooklyn!
Figuring this had to be arranged by some kind of great and powerful wizard, we bought the car. Never mind that it was a fat-fendered Mopar (exactly what someone with the nickname "MoparErnie" was looking for), with absolutely no rust and happened to be within a few hundred yards of us!  A call to my friend Bob Wuori in Southfield, MA
set up a spot in his highly regarded shop, albeit almost a year and a half later. Ruth was equally involved in the planning...lower it, weld the body seams and smooth it, remove this, add that, etc. About ten months after Bobby started it, we had a 318 V8 powered, Torqueflite shifted, smoothed, shaved, lowered, air conditioned street rod. And...it was done just in time for our wedding.

Jimmy was a member of the Olde Yankee Street Rods since 1971 I have a 1971 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, and a 1948 English Ford Anglia. I am currently President of the Olde Yankee Street Rods. And a 1953 Coney Island Bumper Car that I have for a trailer that I pull behind My Anglia!!!!!!!!!"

Denny Jacobs

Hello, my name is Denny Jacobs. My wife Judy & I first became involved in Olde Yankee Street Rods back in 1975 when we were teenagers and had several GTO's & a Deuce Coupe street rod.

I am the 3rd Generation to own our family business Jacobs Garage in Falls Village, CT. My grandfather founded the business in 1930 & received many awards from Pontiac Motor Division for selling the most Pontiacs in New England during a given time period. I was lucky to work for my grandfather during Pontiac's greatest time period in the 1960's and had the pleasure of owning many GTO's. Today I, along with Judy & our son Dave, run a very busy general repair shop and organize the Falls Village Car & Motorcycle Show every July. For our 85th anniversary in 2015, we had Shirley Muldowney as our special guest at the Falls Village Car Show. We also organize the Falls Village Truck Pull held in October.

I am presently building a 1931 Ford Sedan streetrod. I chopped it 5 inches, & built a custom frame. It has a 9” rearend, turbo 400 transmission with trans brake & 3800 stall convertor. I built a 800+ hp 671 blown 392 hemi with ported heads, solid lifter cam, and Sanderson headers. It will be painted Candied Brandywine.

I also have a 1958 Power Wagon Civilian truck with 5.9 Turbo Cummins diesel, 5 speed trans., Dana 60 rear, 4wd, power disc brakes & power steering, 5" exhaust.

I presently own and race a nostalgia 354 Chrysler Hemi front engine dragster, mostly at Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon, NY & at New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire. It is a 135 wheel base & a survivor of racing at Rte. 66 Speedway in Illinois where it was a record holder in the 1970's & early 80's. I recently converted the dragster to Hillborn Injected alcohol, and our last run was a 9.5 in the quarter mile at 150 mph. I did well in my class at the New England Hot Rod Reunion at Epping in 2015, and was featured on New England Dragway’s 50th Anniversary T-Shirt.

I have also restored and built a 1968 Pontiac Firebird convertible with my wife that she shows & recently purchased a 1967 Corvette convertible with a 327 engine.

After many years of searching, I finally found a Pontiac that had been purchased at our business and we were able to buy it. It is a 1953 Chieftain, and I plan to restore it.

After a long day working on today's cars, nothing is more relaxing to me than to work on one of our own vehicles, whether it is a muscle car, streetrod, an antique or a dragster.

Judy Jacobs

Hi there! I am Judy Jacobs and along with my husband Denny & son Dave, own & operate Jacobs Garage in Falls Village. I became a car enthusiast back in my teen years when Denny & I were dating and we would spend much of our spare time working on muscle cars and street rods. Today I enjoy buying and selling cars & parts, especially on eBay or at swap meets & car shows. I am an avid drag racing fan, enjoy watching the NHRA racing circuit, but mostly love helping Denny race his front engine dragster. In my spare time, I organize the Falls Village Car & Motorcycle Show, and am active in the Falls Village-Canaan Historical Society, which I have been president, curator & treasurer of for over 20 years.

I love to cruise around in my 1968 Pontiac Formula 400 Firebird convertible that Denny & I restored. It is Bored & Stroked 400 to 466ci, has 500 HP, a Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission, shift kit, Auburn Posi Rearend with 355 gears, pearl white paint with pinstriping & custom interior.

For a change of pace, I enjoying driving my 2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP convertible. It has 260 hp @ 5300 RPM, and it is intercooled turbocharged. This little 4 cyl. goes from 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds. It's a blast to drive.

Kurt Syer

Hi. My name is Kurt Syer and I have been involved with OYSR for about 10 years. I have always loved American Muscle from the ‘60’s and I wanted a ’66 corvette SO BAD in 1966 when I was 14. Well, it took until 1999 for me to buy a ’66 vette and I only paid 6 times what I would have paid for it in 1966! But she’s mine. I am lucky enough to also own a 1979 vette and a ’23 Ford T-bucket kit car.
We have many opportunities to show off our rides at many shows during the Spring, Summer and FalI. If you are interested in buying a classic car, you will have many to choose from. I support Olde Yankee Street Rods because there are fewer and fewer places to experience the nostalsia and the fond memories I have of that time in my life. Come join us. There is nothing like the sound and smell of 300 street rods and customs in a field on a beautiful summer night or fall afternoon. You are never too old but you could be too late. Call an officer of the club and get involved. You’ll be glad you did.

Henry Granger

Hello fellow car "buffs".  My name is Henry Granger.  I have been a member of Olde Yankee Street Rods and Classic Cruisers for quite a few years, and am presently the Club's Treasurer.  I have had different cars over the years, but my present "Rod" is a 1934 Plymouth P E "Deluxe" four door sedan.  We call "her" "Harriet"!!   I bought her as a "rod" in 1987, and our son, Kevin, and I drove her home from Virginia.  At that time it was in "primer" and had a Ford 289 engine and automatic tranny, and a 9 inch Ford differential.  After a year or two, we did a "body off", and installed a Chrysler 318 and 904 Automatic, made up a new driveshaft and kept the 9 inch.  She has many other features which I will be happy to tell you about when you see me at one of the shows we go to.

I would like to thank my family and friends for all the help they gave me in rebuilding her. After all these years, she needs "refurbishing" and a new interior, which we will get to someday......In the mean-time, we just "drive" her !!!!!

My Antique Car is a 1946 Mercury Coupe, purchased in Dec 2006 advertised on E-Bay.No one bid on it,but I kept the Dealers Name.A few weeks later I contacted the Dealer and purchased the car.It was delivered to my house (For a Fee) from a small town near Detroit MI,The Car is an original in that it has never been restored, but had new paint and both bumpers rechromed. There were things to do to the car, normal to being painted such as in installing of trim and door rubber seals, wiper motor, and wiring etc.
I drive the car to all the local parades, car shows, and cruises. In between time I work on the car improving it and maintaining it myself.extras on the car are wheeltrim rings, windshield visor, fender skirts.
I had this type of car when I was a teenager in the 1950's mine was a 1947 Mercury Convertible, then a '47 Ford 2-door sedan while I rebuilt the Mercury ingine and finally a '47 Ford Coupe which I Dechromed and had painted.Getting an Antique Car took many trys until I bought this one First a Ford Coupe Basket Case, then one that needed restoring but running. So now I have a Car to get together with others, show off to others, and not to spend all my time working to keep it on the road.Using the Car is more fun!

Early in high school the car bug hit, my first car was a 1963 Ford  Falcon Futura  small V-8  right away we installed a big cam and high rise four barrel carb. what a great car then the Marine Corps came and by mistake I sold it One of the biggest mistakes I ever made. Next a 1964 Chevy Impala it wasn't soon that I dropped a

built 350 big cam two fours, four speed and 411 rear end. Them children came and the cars took a leave also. One day I found the 1965 Corba replica 351 built and I was off running again what a fun car lots of awards. then a back surgery couldn't get in or out of the car. I talked to a friend that had a car I wanted  for ten years.

. We made a deal and now I have this beautiful 1966 Ford Fairlane GTA 390 built

good things do come to those that wait,  still miss that Falcon  Andy Moro

When I got my license my first car was already in my yard and registered it was a 1958 chevy impala then after that was a 1964 chey SS impala then came the 1969 barracuda they were all real beauties but I for some unknown reason wanted a T-Bucket so when I found one advertised and the guy was desperate to sell due to needing $$$ for his divorce I jumped at it. Just a body and frame and I built it in my home shop. The only thing I didn’t do was paint the tub,the late Don Perry of New England autobody sprayed it and it came out real nice
